Should I be concerned about the packages I am receiving, like BarkBoxes, during the Coronavirus outbreak?

 Thank you for reaching out to us. Know that we are here for both you & your dog during this time of need.

We're very happy to report that our manufacturing partners in China are all safe and healthy! None of our workers, account managers, or any of their family members have been diagnosed with the virus. 

Proper precautions have been put into place at each and every factory to reduce the spread of the virus. Workers have their temperatures checked upon arrival, wear masks each day, and disinfect the facilities multiple times per day

The majority of our factories have already reopened and we're seeing a worker return rate of 75-80%!

 As for how we're handling things on our side, you can take comfort in knowing our Supply Chain teams are working tirelessly to provide support to our partners, while making sure disruption to production and shipping remains minimal. 



Should the situation become more severe, contingency plans are being put in place to make sure we keep our humans and pups happy with toys!

CDC: Because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces (max 24 hours), there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures.

Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently, there is no evidence to support the transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods.
