Rubber foam is one of our favorite materials because it's soft, squishy, and easy to grip while still being resilient to roughhousing, outdoor play, and light chewing. It's light and easy for dogs to carry, and we find that Super Chewers love how they can really sink their teeth into foam rubber toys over and over again.
Foam rubber isn't always a good fit for certain dogs, especially dogs who enjoy ripping up toys into smaller pieces. While being bouncy and resilient, foam rubber can still be torn up more easily than solid rubber or nylon toys. Foam rubber toys are wonderful for fetch (and dock diving!) but are not the best for dogs who just want to chill and chomp in the living room.
Always supervise your dog when they're chewing on anything, including foam rubber toys.
